I purchased more than one book and sent them out to relatives. We all liked the book. Some felt it was predictable/to closely resemble to other stories. And yet they had to keep reading to find out what will happen next. So obviously they found it suspenseful. Some really liked it because they are fans of Comic books, Harry Potter and The Last Airbender and so on. Which is why I enjoyed it so much. It is about Hero's. Girl kick butt hero's. All with their own unique strengths and weaknesses. Reina is my favorite character, who has a fiery attitude to match her gift! I felt the story developed well to give each Hero some background into who they are from child hood to present, learning about their gifts, dealing with school and just being a teenager. And, at the end of the story you are left with an Uh Oh moment that leaves you wondering, is everything really ok?!? Therefore we all can't wait for the next book to find out!Product details

Gifted Volume 1 Jessica Sydow Books Reviews
Exceptional read. Highly developed. Gifted author.
This book contained so many qualities that I love. It had fun characters with depth as well as a compelling plot line that made you want to turn the page, and of course a classic villain. I found myself really wanting to be a student at Coeleste! Some might feel the beginning is a little slow, and some of the characters and settings are not developed enough, but that is typical enough in the first installment of a series. I look forward to continuing the adventure!
Awesome book and a lot of fun to read.
I got a few sneak peaks of the rough draft of this book as she was writing and I am truly impressed with how it turned out. I would see Jessica what seemed constantly editing the book to the point that you could hardly tell if the paper was white. When I received my copy and began to read it, I could not put this book down. I loved how the characters were developed throughout the entire story. The settings were well described so the reader could picture themselves in the scene with the characters. I will say that a few of the scenes were hard to believe, but this story is not meant to be realistic, but instead more of a sci-fi novel. Therefore, making the events that at first seemed unrealistic to then be believable. This book is certainly not for those people that do not have an imagination, but I definitely recommend this book for people to read and I look forward to the next one. Jessica, is an amazing, young author and I can see a career in the future for her. Congratulations, Jessica and keep writing!

Well written, strong story line and attention grabbing book. Part sci fi, part adventure and part suspense equals a fun read.
